How do you get RealPage data into Power BI?
Honestly: there is no first-party Microsoft connector for RealPage, and anyone offering a one-click link is overselling it. The routes we work with are a RealPage Data Exchange feed where you have it, an API or web-service entitlement on your agreement, scheduled exports out of OneSite or AIM, or a warehouse your RealPage data already lands in — each of which we confirm against your contract before designing around it.
Which route fits is a licensing question as much as a technical one, and property-technology vendors commonly gate data access by plan or treat it as a paid add-on, so we establish what you are entitled to first. Where the data lands in a database or warehouse you control, Power BI's documented SQL Server connector (opens in new tab) is usually the cleanest path, and if that database sits on your own network we configure Microsoft's on-premises data gateway (opens in new tab) so scheduled refresh can reach it. Where only file feeds exist, we build a dependable pipeline from those rather than pretend a live connection is there.
